What I collect
Two things you choose to give me, and one thing the site records on its own.
If you send an enquiry: your name, your email address, what you are working on, what stage it is at, and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else. There is no phone number field, no company size, no hidden questions.
If you complete the Growth Readiness Scorecard: your eight answers, your score and your stage. No name, no email. If you then ask me to look at your result, the score travels with your enquiry so I know what we are talking about before we speak.
Whether or not you fill anything in: when you click one of the main buttons, or start or finish the scorecard, the site records that the action happened. Each record carries a randomly generated session identifier, the page you were on, and where you originally arrived from. It carries nothing you typed and nothing that names you. It exists so I can tell which article or channel actually leads to conversations, rather than guessing.
Why
To reply to you, and to have a useful conversation rather than a cold one. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you approached a consultancy about work, and a reply is what you would expect.
Scorecard answers also feed a benchmark of what a typical score looks like. No name or email is ever attached to it. Being straight about the limits of that: a benchmark row currently also carries the session identifier and campaign tags described above, so it is not fully anonymous in the strict sense. Separating those is on the list, and this page will say so plainly when it is done.
Where it goes
Google Workspace. The form posts to a Google Sheet I control and sends me an email. Google acts as a processor on my instructions.
One other service is involved. The site runs Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and load times. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites, but it is a third party and it is fair that you know it is there.
Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared with anyone beyond those two. There are no advertising trackers and no embedded marketing pixels.
How long I keep it
Enquiries: up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted. If we end up working together, the records that go with that engagement are kept for six years, because company and tax law requires it.
Scorecard answers: kept indefinitely in the benchmark, with no name or email attached.
What this site stores in your browser
No cookies. Nothing that follows you to another website.
The site does store a small amount of information in your browser's session storage: a randomly generated session identifier, and where you arrived from: the referring website, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked. It is used for one thing: to tell which article or channel led to an enquiry, so I know what is worth writing more of.
It is deleted the moment you close the tab, and it cannot identify you on any other website. It does travel to my own server with the button-click records described above, and with anything you choose to send me, so it is honest to say it leaves your browser, rather than that it stays put. If you would rather it were not stored at all, a private browsing window or clearing site data for this site removes it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask me to restrict what I do with it, object to it, or ask for it in a portable format.
Email me and I will do it. There is no form and no process to go through.
If you think I have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you told me first, but it is your right either way.
